Super Smash Bros Melee Gains Replay Feature

This is a new feature for the 2001 release Super Smash Bros Melee, for the Nintendo Gamecube. ….No, it’s not official. A programmer named Dan Salvato has been working on a plussed-up super-mod for Smash Bros. Melee called 20XX Tournament Edition that will expand the game’s features. Player names can be longer, matches can be edited to remove items and power-ups hardcore players see as unfair, and menu music can be customized. Salvato decided to let one of those features out early, as a singular mod: a replay feature. With replay installed, you can record any match in full, then play it back. The ability to record and replay matches is possible in the current Smash Bros series, having made its debut with Brawl in 2008, but it was never added to Melee. Until today!
