Ship of Heroes is an upcoming MMO that’s a lot like City of Heroes, except it takes place on a ship. You ride the ship to various locales, beat up the bad guys in every city, and then travel to the next one. Ship of Heroes has been conducting alpha and beta tests since 2017. They’re about to introduce their character creation tool, a pretty important component for a concept like this. They passed us this bullet list discussing their recent refinements… Ship of Heroes is showing their latest round of improvements to the character creator in this newsletter, particularly the high variability of the faces that can be created in their game. A player can create anyone with their character creation tool. SoH has three main character models – male, female and big guy – and all of them can be massively customized. What is Ship of Heroes? Well, are you familiar with City of Heroes? This is a lot like that, except it takes place on a ship. It’s an MMO in which you ride the ship to various locales, beat up the bad guys in every city, and then travel to the next one. In theory this is better than City of Heroes because you get more than one city and the scenery is constantly changing, but the game isn’t finished yet, so its betterness cannot be determined for certain. Ship Of Heroes Updates Their Mission Map

Ship of Heroes is trying to be a very different kind of MMORPG. Learning from the past to make a special future, the game wants to give players freedom across all aspects of the game. From the way your characters look, to their power sets, to where you go to get missions, and naturally, the missions themselves, all is designed to be different from past superhero MMORPGs. Today, the team behind the game have unveiled their new mission map via a video. In it, you’ll see a comparison of how the map used to look and how it looks now. You’ll see it has more of a sci-fi look that reflects modern superhero films. The team is very proud of how the new mission map looks, and hopes it proves that nothing is too big or too small for them to go back and revisit in order to make it better. Ship Of Heroes Releases Schedule To Break Down Future of Game

Superhero MMORPGs are nothing new, however, the team behind Ship of Heroes is aiming to deliver a very special kind of superhero MMORPG experience. As such, they’ve been working hard to make the game they feel players want and deserve. Today they’ve released a schedule to show off what’s coming. Ship Of Heroes Details “Smoother Combat” In Video

Ship of Heroes is about to begin its first closed combat Alpha tests in which groups of community supporters can team with game devs and street sweep in Apotheosis City. In anticipation of the start of the Alpha, the devs have made a number of upgrades and improvements, and have decided to show off a few of them in this video. • Signature hero Meltdown shows off multiple power trays, level identification for enemies, intelligent tab-targeting, and auto-targeting of other enemies after an opponent is defeated. Several other improvements are also enabled, but not shown in this video. These include X- and Y- axis inversion for a player’s mouse, the option to lock the power trays, and more advanced power tray customization. • The combat Alpha is scheduled to begin in the second half of February. Ship Of Heroes is aiming to be a very special kind of MMORPG. It’s one where you’ll have total freedom over your character creation, including a robust set of powers and skills you can have via your character. It’s very impressive. The game has had some ups and downs over the years, but it seems to finally be coming together. A new post on their website has revealed that the game is going to be going through a combat alpha very soon. “The first combat alpha for Ship of Heroes will begin in the second half of February. The combat alpha will consist of a series of escorted alpha tours. In each tour, 2-3 devs will form a team with 3-4 of our donors, supporters, and members of the press. Together, we’ll run through the Science Park area of Apotheosis City and fight a series of enemy mobs. We’ll be recording, and possibly livestreaming, during at least one run. Ship Of Heroes Brings New Villain And Updates

Ship Of Heroes is aiming to be a new kind of superhero MMORPG, one that blends originality with true hero customization. They’re giving players not only many ways to customize their character, but also, plenty of powers to mix and match and have fun with. But that’s still not all, for the game is also bringing in some new villains, one of which has just been revealed, here’s the details: – The Red Sigil is Ship of Heroes’ fourth villain group – This update gives background on magic as used by most spellcasting heroes and the role of magic on the FHS Justice – Includes original images of attuned spellcasting hero we saw in Dark Magic powerset video (Shade) and Yekus Mercenary fighting Prometheans. – Images were taken in UE4 gaming environment. – The images are posed, for dramatic effect, and the gif is an in-game recording of the power Breath of Darkness being used against a Promethean. – The Yekus Mercenary Clan was introduced September 30 with concept art.

Ship Of Heroes Improves Character Creator

Ship Of Heroes is working hard to be a very special superhero MMORPG, one where players can not just live in a universe of superheroes, but create one that they really feel is unique and special. A key part of this is the Character Creator Tool for the game, and the team has been working especially hard on that. So much so that they revealed a new type of suit for your heroes: Futuristic Armor. But, they also released a statement today detailing all the improvements that they’ve made. Ship Of Heroes – Dark Magic Powerset Revealed

Ship of Heroes is aiming to help make the superhero MMORPG genre special again, and to do that, they’re making sure that players have options in regards to powers. And for Halloween, the appropriately named Dark Magic powerset has been revealed. Below you’ll find what makes it so special, as well as a video showing off the abilities. Ship Of Heroes Completes Testing Of Character Creation Tool

Heroic Games announced the successful completion of its first round of alpha testing on the Character Creator Tool (CCT) and revealed screenshots of the first characters produced within the game by non-devs. Screenshots can be seen here: https://www.shipofheroes.com/alpha-test-for-the-cct/ “We opened up the CCT to a diverse group of supporters, and let them create original characters, using the three finished character models that we have in the game,” said Casey McGeever, CEO of Heroic Games. “We’ve received over three hundred distinct suggestions, bug reports, and insights from this Alpha test – feedback we are happy to fold into our development schedule as we continue to push forward the efficient development of an outstanding, fun to play game.” This is the first Alpha test of any part of Ship of Heroes, and it was a resounding success. Ship of Heroes: New Villain Group Revealed

This week, the developers of the upcoming MMORPG, Ship of Heroes, announced some new details on a non-super powered mercenary villain group that will be in the game called the Yekus Mercenary clan. Alpha tests also recently began for the game’s character creator. The developers are describing the group as a multi-species pack of soldiers who are hired for all sides. The new characters revealed include an Officer, a Big Guy Model (a rare Super Powered NPC working with the Yekus), a female soldier, and a male soldier. The Big Guy Yekus base design shows the character with integrated cybernetic parts and a variety of high-tech weapons. Additionally, the game is going to have multiple independent competing armies throughout the world. However, it will not be unusual for various mercenaries to find work with the FHS Justice after they are hired by rich heroes or ship security, or possibly more secretive factions. Ship of Heroes: New Character Creation Demo Released

The developers for the upcoming sci-fi MMORPG, Ship of Heroes, revealed a new demo video today showcasing the game’s updated Character Creator. You can check out the new demo video, featuring new footage, in the player below. The video also showcases the creation of the signature in-game NPC The Ambassador. Additionally, it shows the primary and secondary power selection for Ship of Heroes, along with a wide range of available powers. Players who have been crowdfunding supporters are set to receive access to closed alpha tests of the Character Creator starting this month. In terms of the character creator for the game, players finally get a look at the “big guy” character model, showing a 6’7″ tall and heavily muscled character players can create. The Ambassador will be one of the game’s signature heroes. Also, the developers revealed a number of technical improvements made to Character Creation, along with an eye zoom camera, a hide helmet button and other morphs, so players can control facial features.
