Seth McFarlane Wants The Orville To Be Filled With Hope
When you think about Seth McFarlane, you think about Family Guy, and American Dad, some of his movies, and the humor (sometimes very dark humor) that has made him famous. His upcoming show The Orville may have you thinking that this is a spoof about Star Trek, and in some ways it is, but in other ways, it’s about showing a time and space that isn’t full of death and darkness. At the TCA’s, he noted: “I’m tired of being told everything is grim and dystopian and people are going to be murdered for food. I miss the hopeful side of science fiction.
