Sega 3D Classics Collection — In Stereo Where Available
For the past few years, ever since the 3DS came out, Sega has been remastering various 8-bit and 16-bit games from its library and republishing them with 3D effects. The line is called Sega 3D Classics, and the company recently announced it’ll be bundling up a lot of these games and publishing them physically in one collection. What’s inside? Here’s the full list: Power Drift (Arcade) Puyo Puyo 2 (Arcade) Maze Walker (Master System) Fantasy Zone 2: The Tears of Opa-Opa (Master System) Fantasy Zone 2 W (Master System/Arcade) Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis) Thunder Blade (Arcade) Galaxy Force 2 (Arcade) Altered Beast (Genesis) Right off the bat, something seems odd. For one thing, several games that have already been released in the eShop aren’t in this collection. Where’s Sonic 2? Where’s OutRun? (This is a dealbreaker for me — no OutRun, no purchase.)
