TimeGate Studios continues to expand Section 8®: Prejudice™, breaking numerous laws of physics to jam more content into what is already a ridiculously value-packed offering. One of the year’s most acclaimed shooters gets even bigger in July with the announcement of the new Frontier Colonies Map Pack for the PC and Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for only 320 Microsoft Points ($3.99). If that weren’t enough, TimeGate plans to unleash the new multiplayer Skirmish mode for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PC, and the PlayStation®Network later this month for the low price of $0!
Using GameSpy Technology’s data metrics and stat tracking services, TimeGate, developers of the critically-acclaimed Section 8 series, have just released in-game statistics culled from the 11 weeks of vicious shooting action in Section 8: Prejudice. Within the time, the title has reached more than 57.5 million kills, and players have fallen from the sky for a total cumulative distance of 328 billion meters (almost one trip to the sun and back).
Already a bargain at its launch price, Section 8: Prejudice is an even better deal now, thanks to a big sale on Steam starting this Thursday. From June 30th to July 11th, you will be able to buy Timegate’s hit downloadable shooter for the amazing price of $9.99 – that’s one third off the regular price! For only ten bucks you can take on the Arm of Orion in the captivating single-player campaign and then duke it out with your friends and enemies online in any of Prejudice’ s varied multiplayer modes.
Time Gate studios has offered their Section 8 community a challenge to get 10 million kills. Once this kill limit is reached from the Xbox 360 and PC players, a new Assault mode will unlock free for everyone. More details after the jump…
Most people will pass Section 8, the game looks dated, the story is cliché, and it has some technical problems. As a network title though, Section 8 offers a good time with lots of value.
