Scarlet Moon Records, producers of many, many video game cover albums, are releasing their take on the holiday season. It’s nothing new — this is actually the SEVENTH Scarlet Moon Christmas album in as many years. What is new is that it’s accompanied by a second album.
Scarlet Moon Records specializes in video game cover albums, but once a year, they break from tradition a bit. For five Decembers now, they’ve put out a special Christmas album featuring their top artists. This time they’ve brought together Hunter Bridges (Audio Director at Evening Star), Osamu Kubota (arranger on Kingdom Hearts and Ragnarok Online), and mojera, a duo comprised of composer Mitsuto Suzuki and vocalist Non. Some of the festive tracks they’ve created are from video games, while others are traditional carols.
Scarlet Moon Records is excited to make available the latest installment in their annual Christmas album series with Scarlet Moon Christmas Vol. IV. The long-running series features game music composers arranging game music tracks in holiday fashion and holiday standards in their own signature styles. This year’s album features music from Celeste, Fallout 4, and Octopath Traveler alongside Christmas classics. Scarlet Moon Christmas Vol. IV is licensed and available now.
