When you think of Rocksteady, the video game developer not the TMNT character, your mind should go straight to the Batman: Arkahm Asylum trilogy. These games were not only major hits both financially and critically, but they set the standard for what comic book video game adaptations should be. A bar that you could argue has not been met since the end of the series.
Around the time of release for last year’s Arkham Knight, the concluding chapter in Rocksteady’s Batman game series, word began to spread that work was underway to give their first two entries in the series a HD upgrade for the current console generation. Confirmation of this release has arrived with the announcement of Batman: Return to Arkham, a set containing HD upgrades of both Asylum and City with the addition of all DLC that was released for both titles.
According to a report by Eurogamer, gamers who want some next-gen upgrades of the older games in the Batman: Arkham franchise might be in luck. A GameStop employee reportedly sent a picture of the plans for the currently unannounced game anthology. You can check out the picture at the above link
Per Kotaku, it looks like there is one more unlockable Batsuit for Batman Arkham Knight. However, this certain Batsuit has some specific requirements to unlock. You can check out a video of the Batsuit v8.05 – Prestige Edition in the player below.
A patch for Batman: Arkham Knight has released for the PC and according to information from a leaked version that released earlier last week, it fixes most of the most common problems that made the highly anticipated title largely unplayable for many buyers. At E3 2014, Warner Bros. Interactive provided a special, behind-closed-doors first look presentation for Batman: Arkham Knight. The developers at Rocksteady Games presented an extended preview featuring actual gameplay footage and a look at the game’s new combat techniques as well as stealth and predator takedowns. Also, let’s not forget the ability to actually use the Batmobile. The first look demo gave an in-depth look at using the Batmobile in both Pursuit Mode and Battle Mode.
Given that those are obviously Harley Quinn’s boots, I think it’s safe to say that we can expect one of two things. Either Harley Quinn will soon become a playable character in the challenge maps portion of Batman Arkham City, or maybe, just maybe, we might get some new single player DLC.
