It’s certaily not a Metal Gear Solid game like many were expecting, but it’s not meant to be either. After nearly being cancelled by Kojima Productions, Bayonetta and Vanquish developers, Platinum Games decided to took it upon themselves to continue the work of Kojima’s team to bring us yet again another exciting Metal Gear title, though not quite one based in stealth. Six years have come and passed since the sudden announcement of Aliens: Colonial Marines, a game enthusiastically advertised as set to fix all the wrongs of Alien 3 and answer many of the unresolved plot threads in the franchise. As a longtime fan of the films, this announcement had me filled with extreme excitement. While I did have some initial fears that A:CM would be yet another terrible film based game, a “gameplay” demo shown at the E3 2011 event quickly vanquished those thoughts and left me to craving more. However, upon release, the supposed finished product wasn’t even a work in progress compared to that E3 2011 demo but rather it was a work in regress.(more…)

If there’s one thing that PlayStation 3 gamers have missed from the PlayStation 2 era, it’s the variety of RPG titles. Great titles such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross, Tales Series, and many more leaving gamers an ever lasting feeling of satisfaction. Two years have flown by since Sorcery was first announced at E3 2010 for the Playstation Move. At the time, Sorcery showed much promise as a Playstation Move exclusive. Despite being a long wait Sorcery is finally being released to the public and as it was shown two years ago, Sorcery may possibly be one of the best PS Move title released thus far.

Despite some lackluster releases in recent memory, Mortal Kombat managed to deliver everything that fans had been lusting for, delivering those classic nostalgic feelings that we all fell in love with in the original Mortal Kombat titles. Now, the very same game that’s available on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 is being released onto the handheld giant, the PS Vita. So how does it fair compared to its bigger brother?
