Last year Brazilian indie collective OTA IMON Studios and publisher Raw Fury released a new, stylish RPG called Wolfstride on the PC. Now they’ve taken the experience to Switch, as of today.
Furries take note: two video games starring anthropomorphic animal characters are making their console debuts soon. The first is one we’ve discussed before: Backbone, the noir adventure game from indie developer EggNut that casts you as a PI raccoon on a mission,
Brazilian indie collective OTA IMON Studios and publisher Raw Fury have announced plans to release a new, stylish RPG called Wolfstride on Steam next month.
We’ve been (im)patiently waiting for developer Shedworks’ Sable since it was first announced way back in 2018. There are so many games out there, with so many styles, that calling something a “unique look” really means something. Sable, somehow, meets 2021 standards of unique. Its spare cel-shaded visuals are rendered in a style inspired by iconic sci-fi artist Moebius, and the results are great:
In April of 2019, publisher Raw Fury and developer EggNut published Backbone: Prologue on Steam. Intended as a preview of a larger game they were working on, the free demo won praise from critics and gamers alike, and since then, everyone’s been anticipating the full game. Looks like the wait is almost over.

Last November, Raw Fury announced that their open beta for their upcoming ‘West of Dead’ would be available for February 14, 2020. Thankfully the game’s open beta launched Friday as planned, and players can now partake in the event. However, the open beta is currently available on the Xbox One and on PC through Steam. Furthermore, ‘West of Dead’ Open Beta is set to close on Monday, February 24.
Of all the games Microsoft showed off during their Inside XBox Presentation in London this week, Raw Fury’s West Of Dead was one of the most interesting-looking. This twin-stick shooter uses a scratchy rendering style that reminds us of a Hellboy comic….or maybe that’s the fact that Ron Perlman is providing the voice of the title character.
Raw Fury, the Swedish publisher whose games we have covered here many times, has moved. They’ve relocated from their old cramped HQ in Gamla Stan, Stockholm to a larger dwelling in Södermalm, Stockholm, closer to the Swedish games development scene. But the important thing is that they’ve renamed the building “The House Of Fury.”
Late last year developer Plausible Concept and publisher Raw Fury released the real-time strategy game Bad North. Now, taking feedback from the community into account, the dev team has improved the game on several levels and released the enhanced version as Bad North: Jotunn Edition. It’s free for those who have the original, and all who buy the game henceforth.
