The Flashback Interview: Jennifer Rubin
My first exposure to my next interview subject, Jennifer Rubin, came via A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. In that movie, Ms. Rubin played Taryn, a Westin Hospital patient whose dream power is that she’s “beautiful…and bad”, the former evidenced by a punk fashion and hairstyle, the latter by having a way with knives. Although Taryn is eventually killed by Freddy Kruegger, she’s still able to get in a few good shots at him. As the years progressed, I would come to know more about Jennifer Rubin’s work, whether as a genre-hopping actress or a noted model for designers like Calvin Klein. I befriended her on Facebook several years ago, and have been wanting to interview her for a long time. That opportunity finally arrived on Tuesday, August 7th, as I spoke to Jennifer about everything from acting to modeling to a GoFundMe, which will be linked to at the end of this article, for her sister’s battle with multiple sclerosis.
