Sony Reveals First Playstation 5 Details
Wired has published a new interview with Mark Cerny, lead system architect for Playstation generations yet to come. Within the interview, Cerny revealed the first public facts about Sony’s next console, the Playstation 5. The machine will run on a third-generation AMD Ryzen processor and a GPU based on AMD’s Radeon Navi, which will make cool effects like ray tracing possible. The PS5 will use a solid-state drive instead of an HDD, reducing load times, and it will be capable of graphics resolutions as high as 8K. Of course, 8K televisions barely exist.
