Pillars of Eternity 2 is set to launch on May 8 but developer Obsidian Entertainment have already revealed their plans for the game post-launch. In a blog post on their official site, the team went into detail about the expansions that will be coming to the title as well as what players can expect from future DLC. Obsidian stated that they plan on releasing “three exciting, in-depth expansion packs for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. The expansion packs will include new quests that will add to the lore of the Deadfire, new areas to discover, new secrets to reveal, and a whole host of new characters to meet and challenges to overcome!” The first expansion, entitled Beast Of Winter, will arrive in July and see players encountering a doomsday cult.
