If you’re not a streamer, you may not see much value in having a Twitch account beyond the ability to spam emojis of people’s faces over and over in a fast-moving chat window. Now may be the time for the rest of us, however…Twitch is getting its own built-in Pac-Man game, and we don’t just mean the 1980 version. We mean something we’d pay for, yet Namco is giving away. (Pac-Man officially turns 40 today! Might have something to do with it.)
After many rumors stating it was happening, Bandai Namco has revealed that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC as a digital release this September.
Super Smash Bros. is the standard when it comes to putting numerous characters from beloved franchises into a fighting game. Tight gameplay, simplistic yet deep controls, and nostalgia galore, Smash Bros. is the place to be when it comes to fighting as your favorite characters, and each new version is bigger and better. In the latest generation, the titles for Wii U and 3DS, there were a lot of big inclusions, including some notable names from third party companies; mainly Mega Man, Pac-Man, and now Ryu from Street Fighter.
Later this summer, the world’s most beloved and favorite video game icons invade the planet in order to pixelate and take over the Earth in Pixels. The film has been getting a lot of buzz and attention with its trailers online, with a film that looks to be a mix of Ghostbusters and Wreck-It Ralph. Sony Pictures this week released two new trailers for the film: the second domestic trailer; and a new international trailer. You can check out both videos in the players below.
Google’s April Fools gag for 2015 has launched a day early, because it was just too good to keep under wraps. If you surf over to Google Maps and zoom into a major city, you may find a Pac-Man button on the lower left side of your screen. Select it, and the map turns into a playable Pac-Man game! Chomp-tastic!

Nintendo announced at its E3 press conference that both the release dates for its Wii U and 3DS versions of the newest Super Smash Bros. game would be moved. Depending on what version you planned on getting this could be either good or bad, with the 3DS version being pushed back to October 3rd 2014 and the Wii U version being released during the holidays. On top of that Nintendo released information regarding new fighters for the game including Lady Palutena from the Kid Icarus franchise and word of the introduction of Pac-Man.
