NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have revealed a new trailer showcasing Tremor, the latest DLC addition to the Mortal Kombat X Kombatant roster. The new video showcasing Tremor in action is available in the player below. Tremor previously in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces and the PlayStation Vita version of Mortal Kombat 9 (2011). NetherRealm originally debuted the video during the Mortal Kombat X tournament stream from EVO 2015. The video offers a nice look at the revamped version of Tremor, aka The Black Dragon. Tremor looks to have some variety in his rock and earth-based attacks. It looks like on variation gives turns his rock abilities into fiery, volcanic-esque rocks. He also has some brutal look Fatalties, like where he traps his opponents in between two rock slabs and crushes them to bits. Tremor will debut with the Klassic Skins Pack 2 starting this week on July 21 for players who own the Kombat Pack. Tremor will not become fully playable for non-Kombat Pack owners until July 28. Tremor will
The hunt is now on. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released the official launch trailer for the Predator DLC for Mortal Kombat X. You can check out the full launch video for the DLC in the player below. The new DLC arrives for the game today for players who have already purchased the Kombat Pack. Others will have to wait until July 14 to play as the Predator creature as a solo download. The new DLC also includes Predator-themed skins for Johnny Cage with Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion for Scorpion and Carl Weathers Jax for Jax. Predator is certainly a welcome addition to the game for fans, and he’s been a highly requested character ever since NetherRealm started incorporating guest characters into the game with the likes of Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Interestingly enough, it looks like there is an alternate skin for the Predator creature without his protective mask showing his gaping maw and mandibles that part
NetherRealm and Mortal Kombat X producer Ed Boon has revealed a new look at some upcoming DLC for Mortal Kombat X. Specifically, the new screenshot features Predator and a new skin for Jax based on Carl Weathers’ character from the original movie. You can check out the screenshot Boon posted on his Twitter account below, which shows Predator vs. Carl Weathers Jax. According to Boon, the DLC for Predator and Carl Weathers Jax will be “Koming Soon.” With June nearly over, that probably means a July release for the next DLC. After that, NetherRealm will still have to release Tremor as one of the additional DLC characters for the game. Predator is a pretty exciting edition to the franchise, along with Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th film franchise. Ever since NetherRealm started incorporated special guest characters, such as Kratos from God of War and Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street in Mortal Kombat 9, fans have wanted to see Predator make an appearance in the series. Soon,
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have dropped a new trailer for Mortal Kombat X featuring guest character and horror movie icon, Jason Voorhees. You can check out the video featuring new footage of the hockey mask wearing icon below. Jason will soon be available to Mortal Kombat X as a DLC character to owners of the Kombat Pack. He arrives for Kombat Pack players tomorrow on Tuesday, May 5, and he will also be available as part of a separate DLC bundle next week on May 12 with the Horror Pack. The Horror Pack bundle features horror-themed skins of classic characters including Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile and Pharaoh Ermac. In addition, the Horror Pack skins will be available for the Kombat Pack tomorrow or separately on May 12. The video has a nice glimpse of the alternate Horror Pack skins at the end. Much like his cinematic counterpart, Jason Voorhees is a man of few words and does his talking through a machete. It is very fun and exciting
NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released the latest trailer for Mortal Kombat X. The new game will focus on the next generation of Kombatants, including the children of classic Mortal Kombat characters. One of the new generation characters is Jacqueline “Jacqui” Briggs, the daughter of Jaxx Briggs. You can check out the Official Briggs Family Trailer in the player below. The latest video finally shows some gameplay footage of the older Jaxx Briggs. It seems at some point he is resurrected and brought back to the side of good. I assume Jacqueline Briggs come along later at some point. In the recently released gameplay footage of the game’s Story Mode, it shows that Jaxx is still a brainwashed revenant in Quan Chi’s undead army at the start of the game. Jaxx seems to have definitely aged well. He now sports an American flag tied around one of his bionic arms and sports and sleeveless camo vest. Jacqui Briggs definitely looks like a chip off the old block, who
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have put out a new TV spot for Mortal Kombat X, which seems like a fun throwback to the old school Mortal Kombat ads. The Mortal Kombat official TV spot is available in the player below. The commercial is a fun throwback. Throngs of people take to the streets in an eager mob to watch a fight going down, though all the fighting takes place off-screen. It is interspersed with footage of fighting from the actual game. The video is highly reminiscent of the old school Mortal Monday TV spots that aired back in the day for the console releases of the very first Mortal Kombat video game in the early 1990s. I am not sure if that was the specific intent of the new TV spot, but that is definitely how it comes off. As UFC President Dana White has echoed before, everyone in the world loves a good fight. The concept of the TV spot plays off of that point of view
MAXIM Russia and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment earlier today (March 26) revealed a new official gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X. The Official Shaolin Trailer is available in the player below. The new video spotlights returning franchise characters Kung Lao and Liu Kang; along with the series newcomer Kung Jin, who I imagine is among the new generation of characters and is probably related to Kung Lao. Liu Kang was already previously revealed because as a playable Kombatant because the full details of the Kombat Pack Season Pass listed an alternate skin for the character. The trailer also provides a lot more insight into the upcoming story for Mortal Kombat X. It seems the warriors for Earthrealm who were killed in the last game have been revived as undead revenants who have fallen under the control of the Elder God, Shinnok. Raiden holds great regret on the souls of the heroes falling to the evil of NetherRealm. Kung Jin, who favors a bow and arrow over Kung Lao’s bladed hat, looks
“If it bleeds, we can kill it.” One of the classic monsters of cinema is joining the Kombatant roster for Mortal Kombat X alongside Friday the 13th boogeyman Jason Voorhees. The Predator creature of the Predator franchise is confirmed as a playable DLC character for the game. Predator’s inclusion was leaked by none other than Microsoft. A listing for the Kombat Pack on the Xbox Store reveals that Predator is included in the Kombat Pack. Per the description: “Stalk and slash your opponents as Horror Icon Jason Voorhees, or play as Predator, the Ultimate Hunter.” The Kombat Pack includes access to four new playable characters and skin packs. Each playable character will also feature a themed skin pack and three new skins for select characters along with the already confirmed Samurai Pack, which features samurai-themed skins for Kenshi, Shinnok and Kitana. Fans have been wanting to see Predator in the new Mortal Kombat games. Producer and developer Ed Boon even went as far as teasing fans on Predator’s inclusion on Twitter. The

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive revealed the official story trailer for Mortal Kombat X earlier today (Feb. 27), which confirmed a handful of new characters. The latest video for the upcoming latest installment in the juggernaut fighting game franchise is available below. It looks like with the new Kombatants, NetherRealm Studios is focusing on the new generation of characters. Cassie Cage, the daughter or Johnny and Sonya Blade, looks to be leading a team of other children of previous Mortal Kombat fighters in a battle to save Earthrealm from a new threat. The new trailer offers an early look at the new generation of characters, including: Jacqueline Briggs, the daughter of Jax; Takashi Takeda, the son of Kenshi; and finally, Kung Jin, the descendant of Kung Lao, who is also confirmed for the game. Besides the new fighters, Mileena is also confirmed to appear in the game. She appears to be leading an Outworld rebel army against Kotal Kahn. The trailer also has a glimpse of the new character,
