Born on May 25, 1939, Sir Ian McKellen CH CBE is an English actor who has been named a national British Icon. He is one of the world’s most popular actors, having been in the public light for more than seven decades. Sir McKellen is one of the few remaining World War II survivors who were close to the 9/11 incident in New York, US. When he was asked how he could remain so calm during such a crisis he replied “Well, darling, you forget—I slept under a steel plate until I was four years old”. Early Acting Stints In 1961, he made his career debut at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, in a theatrical called A Man for all Seasons. He would continue his acting roles in local and national theatres, mostly in Shakespearian plays. A new piece of DLC has been released for the Lord of the Rings game Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Called The Power of Defiance, the free content gives players access to a number of new features and abilities, with the primary addition being that you can now change your character model to be a woman named Lithariel. Other new content includes a new challenge mode known as the Test of Defiance that limits which wraith abilities you can use and a new Epic Rune that allows you to revive when you die. The DLC is currently only available on next generation consoles and PC. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 port of the hit title, which only released on those platforms several days ago, doesn’t look like it will be receiving the extra free content any time soon. Published by Warner Bros. the game will bridge the gap between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, providing deeper backstory. First announced in 2013, Shadow of Mordor is an action role-playing game where players can traverse a large open world while battling with fast-paced combat. It sees the player take control of Talion, a ranger from Gondor, who was killed while guarding the Mordor. Revived, he returns to exact his revenge. The developers have also promised that the game is separate from the Peter Jackson’s film franchise and has its own art style and direction. As a new story it is also separate from the established canon of the books but will align with them meaningfully.
