Just yesterday I was staring at a PS3 copy of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in a supermarket bargain bin and wondering if Konami was ever going to unite the game they’d initially split. MGS V was released in two halves: Ground Zeroes as a three-hour appetizer, and The Phantom Pain as the main course. It’d be just like the Konami of today to keep them separated forever and charge us more, right?

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is apparently already wowing both reviewers and gamers alike with its fascinating and deep gameplay and typical Hideo Kojima Story.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain finally released yesterday and developer Hideo Kojima has released a video on YouTube discussing exactly how much the series has meant to him over the past few years and thanking fans for their continuous support. The legendary developer also apologized for the fact that the game had taken so long to release but that the extra time has allowed him to create something that he feels is incredibly special.
As previously reported, Konami was set to debut new footage, a demo and a new gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain at last week’s Gamescom 2015 event. In some franchises, the voice actor behind certain characters are just as important as the characters themselves. Their voice brings life to the character and helps make them iconic. For the Metal Gear Solid games, David Hayter has been Solid Snake almost the entire series. To that end, fans are extremely loyal to him. So when it was revealed that Kiefer Sutherland would be replacing Hayter as Snake for Metal Gear Solid V, fans were pretty upset. Not the least of which was because MGSV is meant to be the end of Snake’s story as it were, so why not finish it with the man who made the character a legend?
Yesterday, mixed reports from Konami had fans and gamers in an uproar, as the weren’t sure whether gaming legend Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series was still at the company. Or, if he would be able to finish Metal Gear Solid V. Rumors and speculation went wild, with Konami not really helping matters by using fancy wordplay to both confirm and deny certain statements.
