Developed by FROM Software, Armored Core V is the latest entry in this venerable 15 year-old mech combat franchise. How does it hold up against previous titles in the series and the increasingly crowded multiplayer landscape? Pretty damn well, actually.
Namco Bandai games have released a new trailer for Armored Core V that shows off a lot of the awesome customization that will be available in From Software’s latest entry in their popular mech franchise. This game has been at the top of my most anticipated games lists since it was announced and I can’t wait to play it on March 20th. With tons of customization, online co-op through the campaign and a persistent online world to battle over, what isn’t there to be excited about?
Day 1 Studios has announced AAA, Free-to-play Mech Combat game Reign of Thunder. You may remember Day 1 as the developers behind Mech Assault, a title that Microsoft used in the early 2000’s to promote their fledgling Xbox Live service. It seems that Day 1 are returning in a big way to the genre they’ve been known for. The game’s Creative Director and Executive Producer, TJ Wagner said, [quote]It feels great to return to the Mech genre and community we’ve played games with and made games with, for almost two decades.
