MCU about to be joined by the defenders? Marvel Netflix shows were good while they lasted. MCU might give them some hope. The Culprit of the cancellations is Disney Plus. Disney wanted to make Marvel content without third parties anymore. Many fans are sad that Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Ironfish were all canceled. Ironfist  is polarizing but it does have a cult following. There are rumors that Krysten Ritter is in negotiations to reprise her role as Jessica Jones. She will be joining the cast of Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones, who is an investigator working with a lawyer like She-Hulk, makes sense. It may be a less dark representation of Jessica Jones because the She-hulk show will be a comedy. She-Hulk is a comedic character who breaks the 4th wall, while Jessica Jones is a dark and tragic character. That can be a contrasting dynamic that could lead to interesting interactions. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are a couple. In the comics, they even have a child together.

The Fantastic 4 had been out of MCU because of Fox. Fox owns X-men and Fantastic 5 Cinematically despite being a Marvel Ip. They suffered the same fate as X-men. Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter had been sabotaging Fox-owned Marvel IPs for years. He tried to replace Mutants with Inhumans and it backfired with low comics sales. He really pushed hard to make Inhumans happen because he doesn’t want to promote something Marvel doesn’t completely own. Just like Gretchen from Mean girls tried to popularize the word fetch. He even retcons Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver being Magneto’s offspring and make them Inhumans so they can appear in MCU. Fantastic 4 suffered the same fate. They got less prominent in the comics. The last Fantastic 4 film is a flop because of the lack of promotion and controversies. After Disney purchased Fox, Marvel owns Fantastic 4, X-men, and Deadpool again. Marvel comics have a multiverse with different timelines. Because of that we have different versions of this franchise. The mainstream continuity of the comics is Earth-616, while MCU is in Earth-199999. Something that I want to happen but I know wont happen is a live action Marvel zombies movie. Everyone and their Grandma have already seen the gazillion of articles and social media posts about the rumors.People speculate that the next Spiderman movie will explore the multiverse. One of the earliest recurring characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was killed off fairly early on — Agent Phil Coulson of SHIELD, who made appearances in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers before getting killed off in that last one. Movies are a funny thing. Sometimes when a hit move comes, a sequel is obvious. And yet, sequels can take a long time to happen (just look at Wreck-It Ralph 2). Other times, they get rushed into production so that they can happen as soon as possible. And then, there are films that deserve sequels, and we’re still waiting on announcements for them.
