20th Century Studios’ latest production, “The Boogeyman,” derives from a short story written by the Master of Horror, Stephen King. The story is part of King’s “Night Shift” collection, which has provided the basis for several film adaptations including “Children of the Corn,” “Battleground,” “Lawnmower Man,” and “Jerusalem’s Lot.” Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, and Mark Heyman and their filmography are nothing but impressive. The writers of A Quiet Place and Black Swan making an adaption of a Stephen King story is exciting. Director Rob Savage better deliver because he is working with impressive scriptwriters.
