The hit Japanese board game Shitamachi Maid is coming to America, under the title Maid Knight Saga: Story of Faltisia, thanks to LionWing. The crowdfunding campaign for the game just launched, and hit its initial goal in just seven hours.
LionWing is hard at work on localizing the hit Japanese board game Shitamachi Maid for America. The English version will be dubbed Maid Knight Saga: Story of Faltisia, and it will be supported with a Kickstarter campaign that launches soon.
Thanks to tabletop localization company LionWing, America will be getting their first edition of the popular Japanese game Picaresque Roman (though in Japan, it’s their fifth edition). The Kickstarter campaign for the game launched today.

In 2018 a mecha-based skirmish board game, Embryo Machine, was released in Japan. Publisher LionWing picked up the US rights and is currently running a crowdfunding campaign to fund its release. The Kickstarter launched late last month and earned its goal in just four hours, and has now climbed to twice that amount.

We see a lot of crowdfunding campaigns for tabletop games, but they’re usually brand-new creations or sequels to existing ones. But there are plenty of interesting board games in other countries we never see. And we might have not seen THIS one had LionWing Publishing not come to its rescue…they’re crowdfunding an English version of the JRPG board game Kradia: Wild Hunt Festival, a hit on its own turf.
