Nintendo does it. Sony does it. Microsoft does it. Square Enix figured “why don’t WE do it?” The Japanese games publisher announced today they’ll be streaming their own Digital Showcase a week from now, March 18, and will reveal a lot of projects through it.
Life Is Strange
Vampyr, Dontnod’s adventure RPG, has been delayed until 2018. The game was originally slated for release later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC but has been pushed back so that the team can fine-tune some parts of the game that require extra polish and balancing. According to studio head Oskar Guilbert, the delay is due to a technical issue that has only just been fixed.
Life Is Strange was an interesting take on the episodic storytelling of recent video game franchises. And now, it’s getting a sequel in the form of a prequel via Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. It will tell more about the events that led up to the first season, and give you new things to think about as the true second season is made.
The graphic adventure game Life Is Strange is set to be adapted into a live-action digital series. The project will be a collaboration between publisher Square Enix, Legendary Digital Studios, and production company DJ2 Entertainment, according to a press release from all three companies. Life Is Strange was chosen because it “lends itself perfectly to live-action imaginings.”
Legendary Entertainment has officially announced that it is partnering with Square Enix and d2j Entertainment to develop the episodic video game Life Is Strange into a digital TV series. The announcement was made by SVP of Development and Production for Legendary Digital Studios.
Paris, France based developer Dontod Entertainment announced at the EGX Rezzed convention this week (via Eurogamer) that Life Is Strange Episode 2 will launch on all platforms on March 24. In addition, over 15 minutes of new footage was screened on stage to the audience, you can check out the video of the footage below. Remember, only watch the video if you do not mind spoilers. With the holiday period coming to a close it is time to look at the games that are due for release in January. Traditionally, as we leave the busy release schedules of November and December in the run up to Christmas, the lineups for January and February tend to be a little bit bare. Square Enix and the developers behind Remember Me, Dontnod Entertainment have today announced a new title ahead of Gamescom called Life Is Strange. There’s no trailer at the moment, but a press release did give away some details regarding the title, which we’re likely to see much more of during this coming week.
