Legrand Legacy, the JRPG from developer SemiSoft, has been fully funded on Kickstarter, with the Indie game getting the £40,000 it needed in order to complete its campaign; it had just three days left in order to reach its goal. The Kickstarter campaign came just two months after the original campaign failed to reach the funding required to be successful, even after SemiSoft offered increased incentives to potential backers.
Legrand Legacy, the JRPG from developer SemiSoft, has gotten a new Kickstarter campaign after the developers obtained significant investments over the Christmas season. The new Kickstarter campaign comes just two months after the original campaign failed to reach the funding required to be successful, even after SemiSoft offered increased incentives to potential backers. Henry William Winata, lead game designer at SemiSoft, spoke about the new campaign, saying:
There are many RPG’s out there, some strive to be unique, and give players new ways to play. But for some, there’s a desire to remember how the RPG industry started, with the titles that came from Japan. This is the case with Legrand Legacy, which is labeled as an homage to the JRPG Classic that came before.
With over two weeks to go, SEMISOFT’s Kickstarter for Legrand Legacy has hit the 35% mark – exceeding £30,000 in funds raised so far. The team are now putting out a call to arms to lovers of JRPGs all over the world, to play the extensive 2-3hr long Prologue Chapter and pledge on the campaign to help bring this game from fantasy to reality. Henry William Winata, lead game designer at SEMISOFT, spoke about the Kickstarter campaign, saying:
SemiSoft’s crowdfunding campaign, for epic JRPG Legrand Legacy, has launched on Kickstarter. Would-be backers can download a playable pre-alpha Prologue Chapter, before pledging a single penny, that can take up to three hours to complete, and can help shape the final game with their feedback.
