Square Enix Announces Full-Fledged Mana Revival
Square Enix’s Mana series began in 1991 with a Game Boy title first localized as “Final Fantasy Adventure.” It was one of the best games available for the humble handheld in its early years, combining the Zelda formula with an epic storyline and a massive world with more acreage than Game Boy typically had. Two years later the sequel graduated to SNES and was given a more proper localized title as “Secret of Mana.” Again, it was one of the best games available for its system. The third Mana game would be even better than that, but Square declined to publish it outside of Japan.
