We are officially less than 4 weeks away from the arrival of the Nintendo Switch, and with it, the potential birth of another great console. As time winds down to its arrival, more and more developers are being asked what they think about it. Including one Hideo Kojima.
Hideo Kojima has finally broken free from Konami’s icy grip and founded his own video game production company, Kojima Productions. They’re busy at work for Sony on their first solo title, Death Stranding…and we wish we could tell you what it’s going to be about, but in typical Kojima fashion, the trailers released so far are both abstract and intentionally misleading.
And another chapter in the Konami/Kojima saga has come to an end, as Konami has officially closed its LA office, which used to be known as Kojima Productions. This started out as just a rumor, started by 3D Worlds co-founder George Broussard, who said in a tweet, “BREAKING: Rumor tells me that Konami has shut down the Kojima Productions LA studio, taking with it approx 35 jobs, just before Xmas.”
Konami and Kojima Productions have finally shed some light on the long-awaited, highly anticipated release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Hideo Kojima has confirmed the game will finally be released worldwide on September 1, 2015. In addition, Konami has provided The Paranoid Gamer with a boatload of new details for the game’s upcoming release.
As we near the end of the year, we look back at all the great games that came out, but we also prepare and anticipate for next year. 2014 had some amazing games, and it was even the first year for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Another year of gaming is here, and we’re going to list our top ten most anticipated games of 2015. Do note this list will only have games that have officially been revealed or announced and are projected to come out in 2015. Without further ado, let’s begin.

It’s certaily not a Metal Gear Solid game like many were expecting, but it’s not meant to be either. After nearly being cancelled by Kojima Productions, Bayonetta and Vanquish developers, Platinum Games decided to took it upon themselves to continue the work of Kojima’s team to bring us yet again another exciting Metal Gear title, though not quite one based in stealth.
