Fear The Walking Dead And Other AMC Shows To Stream On….Max?
Remember when the booming streaming business was so cutthroat that all the studios were hoarding their own shows behind massive walls of steel and refusing to share? That was….like, ten minutes ago. We guess times change in a blink these days. AMC Networks made the surprising announcement this morning that they’ve made a deal with Warner Bros to put some of their shows on Max, a competing service. AMC has been trying for a few years to get their own service, AMC+ , off the ground. If you tune into AMC at any given time, assuming you still have cable, you’ll see an ad for AMC+ and if you watch a show, they’ll tell you new episodes premiere on the streaming channel a week before they show up on cable. This new swerve from the company may indicate they’re cooling on the whole idea of self-ownership.
