Ubisoft To Bring Franchises To Theme Park
Ubisoft has announced a partnership to bring its franchises to Dubai’s IMG World indoor theme park. In its statement, they confirmed that Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, and Rabbids are among its franchises that will show up in the United Arab Emirates park. The company explained that it’s doing this as is part of a concerted strategy to expand its catalog of franchises beyond just gaming. The company is also making movies based on its franchises, the newest of which, Assassin’s Creed, comes to theaters this month. Ubisoft is not the only gaming company looking to expand its footprint. Nintendo has said the prorportion of people coming into contact with its franchises through games is falling. That’s why Mario-branded toothbrushes and shoes are so important, CEO Tatsumi Kimishima said. Additionally, Nintendo is working with Universal to bring its franchises to the company’s theme parks.
