Back in the early 90s, two computer programmers changed video gaming forever with the PC release of the original Doom — not the original first-person shooter, but definitely the first mega-popular one. The story of John Carmack and John Romero’s big project was told in Masters of Doom, a biography by David Kushner that has just been picked up for a possible television adaption. The cable network USA is interested in turning the book into the first season of a proposed anthology series. Presumably this series would dramatize one moment in video game history each month, but we don’t know precisely what they have in mind.
