Everyone has their niche in gaming. Some people pick up the newest installments in sporting franchises each year, others wait for the annual release of their favorite shooters, and others get down on the latest fighting game which, as of this past month, is Injustice: Gods Among Us. As for the aforementioned niches, I fall within none, but I absolutely suck the hardest at fighting games.
With the confirmation that Battlefield 4 will be released on the Next-Gen consoles (minus the Wii U), fans of the series will have to wonder; will online play be as unreliable as it has been in recent years? Recently EA’s Battlefield 3 servers crashed due to an attack made by a group of cyber hackers. While this instance has a culprit to point fingers at, it doesn’t explain the years of issues EA and Dice have had trying to maintain an entertaining online environment for it’s players. The game, although entertaining, has been plagued by problems since Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Difficulties have ranged from simply being able to join games, being mysteriously dropped from matches in the middle of battle, and being booted from servers by their owners for not abiding by “rules” against using certain weapons and equipment (which is illegal, by the way). While gamers shouldn’t hold their breath over being booted by tyrant server owners, they shouldn’t accept the less than stellar online quality in which
