For Jason Momoa, he’s got the unique opportunity to play a live-action version of Aquaman on the big screen. While a version of the character was done in Smallville on the WB/CW, it wasn’t as true to the comics nature as Momoa’s will be. And though he will be debuting in Justice League first, his solo film won’t be too far behind, and furthermore, it will stick to the main struggle Aquaman faces, that he’s an outsider.
In the upcoming Justice League film, the world will get its first true introduction to the live-action version of Aquaman. Yes, he was teased in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but, it won’t be until this film that we see him in full glory. After that, if the second Justice League film doesn’t come first, it’ll be off to the solo film world for him, which is directed by James Wan of Fast & Furious fame.
