Lynda Carter Defends Wonder Woman Film
There’s been a bit of a battle going on in the movie world in regards to the Wonder Woman film. No, it’s not about “critics vs. money raised”, Wonder Woman killed it in both departments. No, the battle is between legendary movie director James “freaking” Cameron vs. Patty Jenkins and the Wonder Woman film crew and actors. You see, he believes that the Wonder Woman film was not a step forward for women’s portrayal in film, but rather, a step backward. Stating that his character, Sarah Conner, was much more a step forward than Diana of Themyscira. Naturally, Jenkins fire back, as did many others. But now, with Cameron sending another salvo on the film, another Wonder Woman has stepped up to take action…the original live-action Wonder Woman…Lynda Carter. On her Facebook page, she wrote this: “To James Cameron — STOP dissing WW: You poor soul. Perhaps you do not understand the character. I most certainly do. Like all women — we are more than the sum of our parts.
