J.K. Simmons Up For Being J. Jonah Jameson Again
While not the first superhero film to succeed, Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film really set a bar with its arrival. It showed that hero films could be something truly special, all the while staying very close to the source material. One of the reasons for its success though was just Spider-Man and Peter Parker, but casting J.K. Simmons as the legendary (and infamous) J. Jonah Jameson. In fact, fans loved his take on the character so much that they refuse to think of anyone else playing the role but him. In live action settings anyway. Well, though the character is currently about to debut in the DCEU as Commissioner Gordon, he’s not opposed to coming back to his legendary role: “Never say never,” Simmons said to Entertainment Tonight. “I had an amazing time with Sam Raimi and those movies… that was a great, great time and huge for my career and my life and just pure fun.” He also added that “an opportunity to revisit” the character would be incredibly tempting. Well,
