Rocko And Invader Zim TV Movies Acquired By Netflix

It was revealed today that the TV movies Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling and Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, previously produced for Nickelodeon, have been sold to Netflix. Why is this big news? Because unlike Nickelodeon, Netflix might actually make these movies available. Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling joins the wallaby, cow and turtle where the show last left them in 1996: stranded in space. Having finally returned to Earth, Heffer and Filburt are overjoyed by all the advances in technology…..but Rocko, being Rocko, is cautious and nervous about it all. Static Cling has been complete for over a year and has done nothing but gather dust on the Nick shelf. A preview trailer was shown off in 2018: This was also the year that the first in a planned series of Nicktoons revival movies, Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie, premiered. Invader Zim Returns to Rain Doom on His Enemies with New Comic Book Revival

Earthlings will have to prepare to have some doom rained down upon their filthy heads because a certain invader is back to wreak havoc. Oni Press has officially announced that the comic publisher will work with Nickelodeon and Johnen Vasquez for a new ongoing comic series based on the acclaimed animated series Invader Zim. Invader Zim only ran for two seasons with about 27 episodes for Nickelodeon, but the show has achieved legendary cult status with fans. The new comic will continue the story of Zim’s ongoing invasion of Earth with his robot sidekick GIR, along with new adventures from Zim’s archenemy Dib and his sister Gaz. The first issue in the series is due out this summer on July 1.
