When Star Wars: Battlefront first released in 2004, it garnered plenty of acclaim from critics and was followed up by a sequel in 2005 that greatly expanded the gameplay and drew even more plaudits. Star Wars: Battlefront II was the last full entry in the series as a further title by TimeSplitters developer Free Radical Design was eventually cancelled amid turmoil between the studio and LucasArts.
Kingdoms of Amalur has to be one of my most anticipated games this year. Needless to say when the demo came out on Xbox Live I snapped it up and impatiently waited for the two gigabyte download to complete. Check out our hands-on of the demo.(more…)
In a lot of ways Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning reminds me of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It looks exceptional despite being pre-alpha and is being developed by a relatively unknown studio called Big Huge Games.
