Guitar Hero Franchise Dead and True Crime Canceled
It’s official, the Guitar Hero franchise is now dead. During an investor call yesterday, Activision said it would cut around seven percent of its workfoce, which is around 500 people. With the recent drought in the music genre these types of cuts weren’t completely unexpected, however it’s still disapointing to see some developers out of a job. Despite these cuts, we were surprised to see that the latest True Crime title had been cancelled. This decision was especially surprising considering the game was near completition.
