The look of characters throughout a movie is very important, as usually they don’t wear the same clothes every scene, with some exceptions of course. For movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, there are legions of costumes that have to be made.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Writer-director James Gunn, who helmed the fan-favorite box office smash Guardians of the Galaxy and is currently hard at work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, is not one to mince words. He often wears his heart on his sleeve. Not to mention, he’s generally very open to the fans with comments on his Facebook page. It looks like Gunn has taken to his Facebook page yet again to defend Marvel Studios over a remark made by an anonymous source in a recent story from Deadline looking at that film’s insane amount of box office success.
For a great superhero movie sequel example, look at Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a movie many people believe was the best movie in Phase 2. For a bad superhero movie sequel example, look at Iron Man 2, which felt like a lot of retreading and lack of focus in some areas. For Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the pressure is truly on. The first movie was amazing (and my personal favorite Phase 2 film), and set a standard that’ll be hard to follow for sure. However, writer and director James Gunn is still in charge of the franchise, so there’s a great chance it’ll be great. That being said, what can we expect from it? Well, Gunn talked with Collider and revealed that the film will be a “more emotional movie.”
