Finnish game developer Frozenbyte has released a free content update to their stealth game Shadwen in celebration of Frozenbyte’s 15 year anniversary in the games industry. The update, called Escape from the Castle, adds 14 re-worked levels completely for free on all PC, OS X and Linux platforms. The levels are reverse and remade versions of the ones in the orignal campaign – the objective now is to escape from the King’s Castle.
Finnish game developer Frozenbyte has confirmed May 17th as the release date for its upcoming stealth-action game Shadwen with initial launch platforms including PC, PS4, OS X and Linux. The launch price of the game will vary slightly based on platforms and stores and their pricing policies. On PC it will be $14.55 / €14.55 or less, and the regular price once the launch discount is over will be $16.99 / €16.99 across all platforms and stores.
According to the developer Frozenbyte, the Trine series might be finished following criticism of the latest entry in the franchise. Speaking in a long post on Steam, Joel Kinnunen stated how he wasn’t sure exactly what the studio would do in the future in regards to Trine. “The future of the series is now in question, as the feedback, user reviews and poor media attention has caught us by surprise,” said Frozenbyte vice president Joel Kinnunen.
