The Electric State RPG Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Free League once partnered with illustrator Simon Stålenhag to bring his book Tales From The Loop to life. The tabletop game became one of their biggest sellers, so why not try it again? Free League has announced a new RPG based on a different Stålenhag book, The Electric State. Its crowdfunding campaign launched on Kickstarter today and reached its goal in minutes. Both the book and game The Electric State are set in an alternate, post-apocalyptic 1997. In the storyline, a group of travelers are heading out on a journey through the ruins of America, littered with gigantic battle drones and discarded trash (I’d be more worried about the battle bots than the trash). In the game version, you and your friends will be playing those travelers. The Electric State RPG uses Free League’s Year Zero Engine and was written by Nils Hintze (Tales From the Loop RPG, The Walking Dead Universe RPG) in collaboration with Tomas Härenstam (Blade Runner RPG, Dragonbane, ALIEN RPG), Nils Karlén (Coriolis) and Mattias Johnsson
