No more trailers, no more previews, it’s time to go out and nab the real thing. The Surge 2, from developer Deck13 and publisher Focus Home Interactive, is here at last. Hit the streets of the apocalypse in this hardcore action RPG as your own customizable character, and confront hostiles with unique limb-targeting mechanics that make for a wide variety of combat styles.
The Surge 2 surges onto consoles and PC tomorrow, and to call attention to this fact, developer Deck13 and publisher Focus Home Interactive have published a new launch trailer. Check it out below as you count down the hours.
Will The Surge 2 perform better if you run it on the most powerful console hardware? We can confirm….YES! The latest trailer from developer Deck13 and publisher Focus Home Interactive shows off the improved graphical fidelity and framerate of The Surge 2 on PS4 Pro and XBox One X.
The Surge 2 comes out in one week! And in the latest trailer, titled “Symphony of Violence,” developer Deck13 is showing off one of its most unique gameplay elements: the limb targeting system. By zeroing in on specific appendages and body parts, you can make dog food of your enemies in no time — a useful skill when they come at you en masse. (In case you’re curious, the song used here is a cover of “The End Of The World” sung by Sharon Van Etten.)
Last December developer New World Interactive brought forth Insurgency: Sandstorm, the latest version of their best-selling FPS. Now they’ve updated it with The Frontline, a patch that adds a new map and game mode.
Call of Cthulhu came out for PS4, XBox One and PC in 2018….now one year later, the Eldritch Abomination will be creeping onto the Switch October 8.
We hear nothing from The Surge 2 for months, and then suddenly we get TWO trailers in one week…as Mr. Ventura used to put it, all righty then. This sudden reSURGEnce probably has a lot to do with its release date barreling down on us in one month, but better late than never to start some serious promotion.
