In 1994 Disney took a chance on a show unlike any they had ever created before, or probably ever will again. Greg Weisman’s Gargoyles ran for 65 episodes (and a non-canon Saturday Morning season without Greg’s involvement), and retains a massive cult following to this day. If we can’t have more episodes of the show, we can always just move a figure around and create our own, I guess. NECA Toys will soon be providing the tool for this with a 7-inch sculpted Goliath figure. He looks pretty amazing: Goliath is fully poseable (this is the best possible pose in our opinion) and comes with two faces, Angry and Slightly Less Angry. You can also have him read a book, if you so desire. “I know Eliza is in trouble, but just one more chapter. Here are a couple of collectibles recently revealed by Cryptozoic Entertainment, makers of merch related to fan-favorite properties. First up is the reveal of Season 3 in the Rick & Morty Trading Card Set. Within each sealed pack, you’ll find three sketch cards and an Autograph Card signed by a member of the Rick & Morty voice cast (this includes co-creator Justin Roiland). What good is that, you ask? If you have the knowhow and access to a garage laboratory, you can extract their DNA from the cards and clone them! Do with the clones whatever you wish. Now here’s a cool thing: some of the packs will randomly include the “Final Cut” memorabilia card. These contain a piece of a script from the TV show. We don’t mean a copy, we mean an actual piece of the script that Cryptozoic savagely cut up. As the Swat Kats taught us, you make cats better by giving them weapons. Weaponized cat action figures are about to become a reality. When Bandai uploaded images of cats kitted out with mechanized war-suits, they were making a joke (it was April 1, after all). But after receiving many responses along the likes of “no, I’d actually pay for one of those,” they decided to make the cats a legit product. The official name for the figures is Nekobusou (“armored cat” in Japanese). The felines’ arsenal ranges from a litter box armed with a machine gun to a full-out mech suit with at least eleven barrels aiming in all directions, plus giant pincher claws. The cats don’t cost very much, at least before you factor in overseas shipping. The less elaborate figures cost 500 yen (around $4.50) and the REALLY armored cats, like the one in the image above, go for 1,388 yen (about $12.50). Fans of the Fallout series have long been asking for some quality figures to be created based on the franchise. After all, the games do have some characters who have some of the most iconic looks in the whole of gaming and yet this potential has been left untapped for the last decade.
