The next piece of downloadable add-on content for Far Cry 4 launches tomorrow with the Valley of the Yetis DLC. To commemorate the release, Ubisoft has released a new extended gameplay video with developer commentary. The new six-minute plus video is available below. In the new video, Ubisoft community developers Kim Belair and Ariadne MacGillivray narrate the opening of the new DLC, as protagonist Ajay Ghale has crashed his helicopter at the top of the Himalayas, and he is stranded on a perilous ridge. Ajay then has to capture a camp for shelder and guard it from a cult, the Awakened Ones. However, the valley is also occupied by dangerous yetis. The video features one such boss fight with one of the dangerous yetis. In Valley of the Yetis, the camp Ajay Ghale captures is used as the players’ safe house. Players will then have to fortify the camp and complete side quests. However, even after capturing the quest, players will still have to defend it from waves of attackers

Ubisoft has released the details for the upcoming Valley of the Yetis DLC add-on for Far Cry 4. In addition, Ubisoft provided The Paranoid Gamer with some new images and the official trailer for the expansion. The new details, screenshots and an official trailer can be viewed below. The Valley of the Yetis add-on content is due out on March 10. The expansion puts players back into the role of Ajay Ghale. After his helicopter crashes on a Himalayan ridge, Ajay is left stranded with no shelter. Ghale then has to capture a camp and guard it from a mysterious cult, The Awakened Ones, who are returning to reclaim their encampment. However, that’s not the worst of it. After defeating the cultists, Ghale will then have to face yetis that lurk in the shadows. The trailer gives off an almost Tomb Raider type of vibe. Ubisoft has launched the new Overrun DLC for its hit first-person shooter video game, Far Cry 4, and released some new details on the exclusive player-vs.-player mode. The developers also released a new video diary for Overrun, which is available below. The Overrun add-on content is now available for Far Cry 4 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Players embody Rakshasa and the Golden Path in the ongoing war for Kyrat. The new Overrun DLC includes: • New PvP mode: Throughout the match, three designated locations will activate with only one location active at a time. Far Cry 4 Has Gone Gold

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 4 has gone gold and is ready to ship.  Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed during their earnings call that they project Far Cry 4 to sell over 6 million copies in the first year, surpassing Far Cry 3, which sold around 4 million in its first year.  “When I look back at Far Cry 4’s development, I’m amazed at what the team pulled off,” says Executive Producer Dan Hay. “We added verticality. We gave the player the ability to fly. We gave them the ability to fly in co-op. We gave them the ability to fly and have the other player down on the ground running around while they’re flying. We made the number of encounters way higher. The encounters are different, and the animals are different. The characters are unique, and your friends will have subtly different experiences with the story. Ubisoft has revealed the content you’ll get with the Far Cry 4 Season Pass. Included in the Season Pass will be an exclusive day-one mission, a prison break co-op mission, wild missions with Hurk and his harpoon gun, and PvP missions where you’ll be encountering Yeti. Gamescom – Day One Wrap Up Gamescom kicked off in a large way with an absolute wealth of information to take in on day one, including exclusives galore from both the Microsoft and Sony conference. E3 is over for another year and it’s given gamers plenty to look forward to for the rest of the year and beyond. As is obligatory following any E3 coverage, here are my Top 5 Games from E3 – this is my personal selection of games that have me the most excited moving forward.   Sunset Overdrive I have a love/hate relationship with my XBox One. On one hand I love Titanfall – it refreshed competitive multiplayer gaming for me at a time it was desperately stagnant. On the other hand, there’s a desperate lack of games for the XBox One. The PS4 has a steady flow of indie titles alongside multi platform games that perform better on the PS4 than the XBox One. Sunset Overdrive gives me a great deal of hope though – it looks fast, action-packed, beautifully bright, full of personality and gives me a genuine reason to boot up my XBox One again.
