2K Games Officially Announces XCOM 2
2K Games have been teasing an AAA title for several weeks now and they have finally revealed exactly what that game is with the announcement of XCOM 2. The sequel to the 2012 turn-based strategy game is being developed by Firaxis Games, who are better known for the Civilization series but also worked on the last entry in the franchise. Last week the publisher launched a website for the Advent Administration that advertised new urban cities that offered gene therapies and DNA splicing for people looking to get rid of illnesses. The website portrayed these new cities as the future of humanity but warnings from apparent hackers littered the site, suggesting that the Advent cities might not have been the perfect places to live. While it was clear that the website was a marketing campaign for a new game, many believed that it may have been for a possible new BioShock game.
