Game development team Midgar Studio was inspired by Final Fantasy (their devotion is in their very name) to create a world-spanning JRPG for modern systems. Titled Edge of Eternity, the game had an amazingly successful Kickstarter campaign and a steady Early Access launch on Steam in 2018. They’ve been building up Edge of Eternity from that point, and the full version at last hit PC, Mac and Linux on June 8. But didn’t they promise a console version too?
