Artificer Gets Steam Greenlight & Public Open Beta
DTDigital unveiled its first Steam Greenlight campaign to run alongside a free open beta build for Artificer. DTDigital intends to concatenate quick-paced arena combat with careful and tactical planning all in one game, with a planned release in Q4 2016. Artificer is a top-down 2D space shooter for PC. It is a competitive shooter – multiplayer or single player – in an arena setting or with simple objectives (e.g. destroy or defend stations, and capture points). The game has also gotten a trailer to coincide with the Steam Greenlight campaign. Players can freely customize their ship with the ship editor or build a completely new ship to their own specifications and watch their enemy crafts break apart and drift into space blown apart by a selection of plethora of weapons available to them. Manoeuvre and defend yourself with energy shield modules to ensure you do not share a similar fate, or even use warp capability to instantly transport from one part of space to the other.
