Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to PC this month! And to call attention to that fact, Square Enix is launching a JUMBO DEMO (this is the official name of it) on Steam. This demo has also been made available on the PS4.
No sooner does one Dragon Quest release for a portable device then another is announced. A few days after Dragon Quest XI S is released for Switch, Square has announced Dragon Quest Of The Stars, its mobile DQ game, will make a Stateside appearance.
It’s a huge day for Dragon Quest fans on Switch….the first three games in the series have all been released simultaneously on the platform. Head to the Eshop now and you’ll find DRAGON QUEST ($4.99), DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line ($6.49) and DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation ($12.49). Why the price increases? It’s lost on me.
There are officially over one million copies of Dragon Quest Builders 2 out there. In fact, there are over 1.1 million! Square boasted this number today and presented this lovely piece of in-game crafted fanart in appreciation:
There’s officially more to build in Dragon Quest Builders 2. Three packs from the Season Pass are on the way, and if you have said pass, you can now play with the Hotto Stuff Pack. The Aquarium Pack will be released a week from now, August 2, and the Modernist Pack will follow on August 9.
Minecraft meets Dragon Quest (not officially) in Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Builders 2, available now on PS4.

You don’t always have to attend E3 to play demos for hot new games. Sometimes the company is generous enough to share their samples with everyone….so it goes with Square Enix, who is releasing their Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo to the public after E3 closes.
Square-Enix’s spin on Minecraft is getting a second go. Today the software giant announced the imminent arrival of Dragon Quest Builders 2, coming to both PS4 and Switch simultaneously.
Square Enix has reason to be pleased with Dragon Quest XI. Since the game was released two months ago, it’s moved over four million copies. Granted, this is a global figure, and it isn’t likely the American sales numbers make up a significant portion of it, but it’s still impressive. Let’s not forget that this came out the same weekend as Spider-Man on the PS4.
Let this post serve as your reminder that Dragon Quest XI is out in America! Whether on Playstation 4 or on PC via Steam, hours and hours of classic RPG action can be yours, enhanced by the prettiest and most detailed visuals ever seen in the series. And don’t stop until you’ve squashed every last Slime! Spider-Man can wait.
