For as much praise as Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness got for Sam Raimi’s directing and such, its existence still leaves a bad taste in my mouth for the complete derailment of the Scarlet Witch character. Wanda is not supposed to be evil, and the comics don’t usually treat her as such, though they usually go for the sexist trope of her powers driving her into insanity and doing self-destructive things. Raimi decided to take the worst interpretation of Wanda possible, ruining over a decade of character development for the sake of shock. But anyway. If you missed it in the theaters, there will be multiple ways to watch it at home, as we’ve come to expect from Marvel. The film will be hitting Disney+ before the month is over, but around the same time, it will be offered to own in digital format. A month later the disc version will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD. The difference is the special features — see if they intrigue

America Chavez is one of the new Superheroes Marvel is trying to push in the comics. For a New character, Marvel made her too strong. I can confidently say that she is strong enough to curb stomp Wonder Woman. Her punches can create worlds and dimensions. She is making her live-action debut as Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. This movie will be the big break for teen actress Xochitl Gomez, and she needed this role after Netflix canceled her show Babysitters Club. If her portrayal of this rising superhero gets popular enough, it could lead to a solo movie or Disney Plus Series. You can get to know America Chavez on her origin story uploaded by Marvel.   Marvel is trying to make America Chavez the next big thing, but her existence leads to the film’s ban in some countries. Countries in the Middle East and Africa have banned LGBTQ+ representation. Chavez is gay, but she came from an Alternate reality where All beings on Earth are assigned female at Birth.

At this point, Disney has released several trailers for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, so you might think this latest one (which is only a minute long) doesn’t have much you haven’t already seen before….you’d kinda be right. There is some new information here, but not the kind that’s readily apparent. You get the same recycled clips of Strange fighting the eyeball monster, and Strange screaming while his face turns into boxes (this looks gross, Marvel, stop showing it to me). But you also get once-and-for-all confirmation that the Marvel shows on Disney+ are required viewing to fully understand what’s going on. Wanda’s visions of her children directly continues her storyline from WandaVision, and the glimpses of “Evil Strange” and “Zombie Wanda” may suggest the continuity of that What If cartoon (good on Disney for not treating their animated offerings as lesser or non-canon). NBC managed to squeeze the Superb Owl in between Olympics events yesterday, and it was packed with trailers…one of the most anticipated being the one for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. Practically everything in the MCU lately has been building toward the subject of this movie — WandaVision, What If and Loki all laid the foundation for the multiverse to take shape, and now Stephen Strange has to deal with it. If you’re wondering if any of the aforementioned shows are required viewing before seeing this….probably. We know from the trailer before this one that the movie will reference WandaVision and it may also contain the Evil Strange from a specific What If episode. If you haven’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home yet (and if not, you should really get on that), the post-credit sequence is different than what we typically get. Instead of a follow-up scene for any of the characters in the movie we just saw, it’s a mini-trailer for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. As of today, you don’t have to wait through all those names to see it: the full teaser trailer — a longer cut of it — has been uploaded by Disney themselves. The multiverse is going haywire! Who’s behind it? Every time Strange asks, the fingers are pointed back at him. But he swears he didn’t do anything, unless he’s been sleep-spelling or something. Strange finally gets his answer when he’s confronted by….himself. Or rather, a dark version of Stephen who looks a lot like the version we saw in Marvel’s animated What If… series.
