He climbs up to tell the man that he is there because the man hired him. The guy who was thinking about suicide remembers that he did call someone who said they would take their case and only charge 1000 won.
In “Shadow Detective” Season 1, Kim Taek-Rok, a 30-year veteran police investigator assigned to the Homicide and Special Crimes Investigation Unit (HSCIU) is framed for killing fellow officers when in actuality he wanted to save their lives.
