Batman: Arkham Origins is coming to iOS and it’s free-to-play

It has already been announced that the upcoming Batman prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins, is coming to PS Vita and 3DS (as a sort of Metroidvania style sidescroller with Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate). Now however, it has been announced that yet another spin-off title to the soon to be released game is coming to iOS and Android. Make no mistake however, this will not be a port of Blackgate, this will in fact be an original game. It is currently in development by the esteemed Mortal Kombat team at NetherRealm Studio, whose previous mobile efforts include the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us as well as the iOS beat-’em-up, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.

Gamestop offering “early demo” keys for Beyond Two Souls

David Cage and Quantic Dream’s latest Ellen Page fueled adventure, Beyond Two Souls, will be out this year on October 8th. For those who can’t wait however, Gamestop is offering early access demo keys on their Facebook page. The demo will be available on October 1st and those looking to participate should get their keys soon. Starbreeze Studios makes first-person shooters. You already know who they are if you have ever played one of the surprisingly good Riddick games or last year’s FPS Syndicate revival. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, then comes as a pleasant surprise from this previously gun-crazy Swedish studio, not because it is a great game (Starbreeze has always made good games), but because Brothers could not be more different from anything the company has previously done. This game is simply fantastic, weaving an emotional and very human narrative through a beautiful bed-time story world full of magic, wonder, and true abject horror.(more…)

Rayman Legends is getting patched on the Vita to include missing levels

Rayman Legends, the latest in Ubisoft’s 2D revitalization of the long running platformer series, released yesterday across all platforms (including the PS Vita). However, Vita players soon noticed that their version was missing something substantial: 28 entire levels. Ubisoft confirmed today that the missing content will in fact becoming to the Vita by way of a free patch.

News: Playstation Vita Price Drop

Sony announced today, during its Gamescom 2013 media briefing, that the company’s struggling handheld will in fact be receiving a price cut. The new price was announced at $199/€199, and it is yet unclear which of the two PS Vita models (3G or wifi) this price point refers to. In addition, Sony has said that the system’s proprietary memory cards will see a drop in price, but no further details were immediately available.

New Teaser Site For Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls

Blizzard Entertainment recently launched a website for an officially unannounced Diablo 3 project. The site features only a dark image of an open door and the following text in the iconic Diablo font: “Death, at last, shall spread its wings over all.”
