The smokin’ sexy stylish demon bashers are back! After a long absence and a couple odd detours, Capcom’s Devil May Cry series has returned with its fifth installment: Devil May Cry 5.

Devil May Cry Cartoon Announced, From The Makers Of Castlevania Cartoon
It was late last month when Adi Shankar, producer of Netflix’s Castlevania anime series, announced he was picking up the rights to another video game with plans to cartoon-ify that as well. He dropped the hint with this Instagram post:
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition Details and New Trailer Revealed
Capcom announced new details for the upcoming Special Edition of Devil May Cry 4. The next-gen version of the game is scheduled as a digital download release in summer 2015. Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will feature the original 2008 release and three new playable characters along with the new Legendary Dark Knight Mode, which is set to feature some new gameplay improvements. PAX Prime gives 23 minutes of DMC demo footage
Earlier this week at PAX Prime, Capcom released a video demo of Devil May Cry 5. Unfortunately projected release date is at January 15, 2013. I notice they kept Nero’s hook and pull mechanic of DMC 4.

I was one of many Devil May Cry fans who felt that Ninja Theory’s reworking of Dante’s character was totally unnecessary and a slap in the face to the fanbase.
