Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
It’s official. The highly anticipated next installment of the Deus Ex video game franchise, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, has had its release date pushed back from February 2016 to later that same year in August. The announcement was made by Eidos on the official Deus Ex Mankind Divided website and Twitter page.
Eidos Montreal has announced that the Augment Your Pre-Order campaign for Deus Ex Mankind Divided, the latest installment in the Deus Ex franchise, has been cancelled. The campaign was jettisoned due to player feedback, who were not crazy on the campaign. The idea for the campaign was that players would decide what content they would receive for pre-ordering the game, rather than certain pre-order content being exclusive to certain regions or consoles. However, the campaign received a lot of negative feedback, so Eidos has simply opted to drop the campaign entirely.
Many RPG’s emphasize the power of choice in their main characters, allowing you to build them how you please, and reap the rewards of their powers because of that. However, when it comes to action games, those choices may not feel as powerful as when you first made them. In Deus Ex: Human Revolution for example, the boss fights always required physical action, even if you built your character for stealth.
Easily one of the biggest announcements recently was about the return of Deus Ex, via a new title titled Mankind Divided. Also, Adam Jensen, the protagonist from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, was confirmed to be back, and the fans rejoiced.
