NESMaker is a PC software creator introduced last year that allows anyone to create their own fully functional game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The program creates an authentic .nes ROM that will run on any emulator, and even includes a “Burn” function that sends the data to a cart flasher (assuming you have a blank NES cartridge lying around).
Dragonglass Games Workshop, a Shanghai-based indie game studio, are currently working on their first indie title, Bugs Must Die. It’s a top-down shooter where players utilize armored vehicles to battle a massive wave of alien bugs. It has no current release date, but a demo for the game was released today.

Sega’s Yakuza series wasn’t originally popular worldwide and fans have had to struggle to get English translations released, but it’s finally paid off — the series is at last growing in sales. This morning the demo version of the soon-to-be-released Yakuza 6 hit the Playstation Store….and it set off alarms when it hit the scales, weighing in at 36.5 GB. It was one of the largest-sized demos ever released.

At Gamescom, a brand new title from THQ Nordic was revealed in the form of Biomutant, an open-world action game with one heck of a twist. Mainly in that you can alter your characters abilities and genes through certain items in the game, essentially making the character whatever you want it to be in potentia.
In what is sure to be the most surprising news you’ll wake up this morning to hear, demo footage from a proposed Diddy Kong Racing sequel, entitled “Diddy Kong Racing Adventures,” has turned up. Rare originally proposed their own sequel, “Donkey Kong Racing,” and it had been given the go-ahead shortly before they left Nintendo’s wing. Climax Entertainment saw an opportunity for some work and built their own version.
